#Throwback In May I was fortunate enough to have spent 8 days in LA after coming from New York.
On this particular day a few friends and I were shopping in a ‘mall’. All I know is one minute I was trying on Vans in a random shop and the next my friends had ran out of the store with the shoes they were trying on still on their feet. I heard screaming. I was confused. I heard more screaming. I was still confused.
Anyway, the woman they were running after turned out to be Nic from @GetFitWithNic_! The lovely lady offered to workout with us the following day, before taking us on another shopping trip and a meal at a wonderful little Japanese restaurant (for which I cannot remember the name).
Meeting Nic came at the best possible time. This year I have been increasingly health conscious and so the exercises which I learnt during our workout have been used since. Believe me when I say they are not easy! But it is very effective and it will have your whole body hurting for days (depending on your fitness level).
The best thing about these is you don’t have to go to the gym. The work out videos are below, so give it a go and let me know how it goes. I should add that before we started filming we had already walked up Baldwin Hills Canyon, halfway we started walking backwards. We also did 3, one minute reps of jump rope skipping. I’m the mongoose with the white t-shirt and pink shorts. Also featured is @Anne_Stone @Lexiibam @lovejonesdennis . You can check all these lovely ladies out on Insta.
Don’t mind us we were gassed. Okay now for the actual workout.
We did 10 reps of running up and down the stairs before starting this…
We then repeated this, using the opposite leg.
Excuse me for screaming in this next vid lool, my arms were in pain.
And for the abs… we didn’t last too long with this…
There you have it, our rigorous workout with the gorgeous @getfitwithnic_ . As you can imagine we woke up the next morning feeling sore, but full of energy. Since that exciting day I have used my garden steps to emulate this workout and I must say I feel pretty good. I hope this post helps anyone looking to vary their workout regime. Please comment and let me know how it goes for you!
Next week I will be uploading videos on making healthy smoothies.
